AgriNetworks Limited is an agribusiness company that has developed a novel concept for adding value to farm business.
The company was established in 2000 as a subsidiary of the Veterinary Enterprises Group and is based in Te Awamutu. AgriNetworks is lead by Veterinarians, Chris Mulvaney and Don MacColl who have a combined experience of over 40 years involvement with sheep and beef farmers throughout New Zealand. This experience includes business management, farm consultancy focused on animal production systems and research.
Our mission is to make sure that whatever we do will add value to sheep and beef farm businesses. The principle is based on focusing on the welfare of the animals. Farm animals that are well cared for will perform to a higher level.
Our business platform is based around the development of practical information and knowledge based systems that have been market led. It recognizes that all farmers have different needs so there is no " recipe approach" to farm business improvement.
The core business of AgriNetworks Ltd is StockCare which is a programme to help sheep and beef farmers develop sustainable and profitable businesses by promoting excellent animal welfare and environmental responsibility.
An important component of AgriNetworks business is research and trial work. The company has been engaged in contract trial work for agribusiness organizations. It is continually identifying new opportunities for research within its farmer network. This research is farm driven and must add value to farm business.
We provide an extensive training programme for veterinarians to help them understand sheep and beef farming business.
